17 Ocak 1962 ABD doğumlu aktör. İlk Pet Dedective ile yıldızı parladı, The Mask ile üne kavuştu. Komedi filmleri ile tanınsa da ve bir çok kişi için sadece bir "komedyen" olsa da "Man on the Moon", "The Majestic", "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" gibi filmlerle ne kadar mükemmel bir oyuncu olduğunu gösterdi. Bugün Jim Carrey'in hala Oscar alamamış olması bir çok eleştirmen tarafından bile akademinin yobazlığı olarak tanımlanmakta.
